D2OQ06

8+2

eCLM Setup and Technical Model Developments
We present the DE-0055 high-resolution simulation domain, customized for the local FZJ branch of the Community Land Model (eCLM), covering Germany and neighboring regions. This setup integrates detailed inputs, particularly for agricultural practices, and soil data provided by the Thünen Institute. Additionally, we highlight ongoing technical advancements focused on improving the representation of key cash crops and incorporating organic carbon dynamics from fertilization, which are crucial steps before initiating the model spin-up for nutrient pools and subsequent production runs.
